Exclusive SHOCK Video: Bruce Campbell on ASH VS. EVIL DEAD

After seventeen years, Bruce Campbell is back in the boots of Ashley “Ash” Williams, a character he originated over thirty years ago in Sam Raimi’s THE EVIL DEAD, in the new Starz series ASH VS. EVIL DEAD, reunited with Raimi for the pilot.

Nowadays, Ash is quite a bit older and feeling his age as he works a bad job at a discount warehouse. When someone reads from the Book of the Dead and brings back the curse that’s been plaguing him his entire life, he must call upon his colleagues Kelly and Pablo (Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago) to help him fight off the Deadites. At the same time they’re being chased by a couple women who believe that Ash is responsible for the death of their father and partner.

For those who have been waiting patiently for Raimi and Campbell to reunite on their popular horror franchise, ASH VS. EVIL DEAD will grant a lot of wishes, especially since they’re already working on a second season with plans to keep Ash’s adventures going.

ShockTillYouDrop.com had a chance to sit down with Campbell at the junket for ASH VS. EVIL DEAD in New York, and in the interview below, he talks about getting back into the mind of his most beloved character, reuniting with Raimi as well as some of his castmates, including long-time friend Lucy Lawless, and he also told us whether he thinks we might see Jane Levy’s character from the 2013 EVIL DEAD remake again.

ASH VS. EVIL DEAD will premiere on Starz on Saturday, October 31. Look for interviews for some of Campbell’s castmates later this week. You can also read our interview with Sam Raimi right here.
