SHOCK gets an eye and earful of Ryan Brookhart’s debut feature TRACE.
Visionary artist and designer Ryan Brookhart has long been a heavy hitter in the world of indie genre cinema, having designed hundreds of film posters and DVD packages and now, hes poised to unleash his first feature directorial effort
TRACE (which premieres exclusively on Redbox on October 27th and on DVD on November 3rd) deals with a group of friends whose tinkering with trace phenomena (a kind of EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomena) inadvertently wake a Cthulhu-esque demon from the beyond that is intent on entering or world….presumably, to do no good.
Says Brookhart of his maiden macabre movie adventure:
“I wanted to make a film that relied more on ideas and atmosphere than jump-scares; something that could get under your skin and resonate in your head long after you’ve watched it.”

TRACE was written and directed by Brookhart and stars Nick Fink, August Roads, Maddie McGuire, Jesse Pepe, Samantha Lee, Sam Valentine, Jerod Meagher, Mike Capozzi. Its produced by Joe Dain, Jim Klock, and Miles Fineburg and executive produced by Peter Schafer for Terror Films, a division of Sunrise Pictures.
