Lionsgate has announced an October 9th theatrical and VOD release for Eli Roth’s latest, the Sundance premiere and intimate thriller, Knock Knock.
Loosely based on 1977’s Death Gamewith that film’s Colleen Camp and Sondra Locke producingKnock Knock stars Keanu Reeves, Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas. In the film, Reeves plays a devoted family man and architect left home alone one weekend. On a particularly stormy night, two young beauties knock on the door for help and what begins as innocuous and kind descends into total madness.
Co-written by Roth, Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo (The Stranger), Knock Knock world premiered this past January in the Midnight section of Sundance. Its release from Lionsgate will hit just weeks after Roth’s long delayed cannibal film The Green Inferno is out from Blumhouse.
