One man supernaturally lays waste to a group of sinners in the bloody, atmospheric Irish horror, Let Us Prey.
The object of a red band trailer is to appeal to our gorehound sensibilities, which Let Us Prey does. The film isnt short on red. Funny enough, what I think this trailer does best is actually show off how handsome of a production the Irish horror is, especially the seaside location work youll glimpse in the opening titles. That’s not to mention the soundtrack.
In the film, directed by Brian OMalley and starring Liam Cunningham and Pollyanna McIntosh, rookie cop Rachel (McIntosh) finds herself surrounded by violent officers and criminals. Her job becomes all the more terrifying when a mysterious man (Cunningham) is brought in and strange things begin occurring. Soon it becomes clear that the stranger has something to do with the supernatural events, and Rachel must fight for her life against cop and crook alike as they turn on each other and themselves. Now she has to survive the night and uncover the strangers true plans before she too falls prey to the unholy power that seeks to destroy them all.
Let Us Prey is on VOD, Digital and DVD & Blu on May 26th. Full review to come, but suffice now to say its mean and recommended.
