The feature debut from Audrey Cummings, Berkshire County has racked no shortage of awards and acclaim from genre fests across North America. In anticipation of its Canadian release, check out a new trailer for the Halloween-night, animal-masked horror.
In Berskhire County, Kylie Winters, a bullied and self-loathing teen, reluctantly agrees to babysit two children at an isolated country mansion on Halloween night. When a mute boy in a pig mask appears at the door trick-or-treating, Kylies night transforms from the mundane into a horrifying and violent cat-and-mouse game, hunted by three deranged butchers through the maze-like estate. Forced to confront her own cowardice, Kylie must go beyond what she ever thought possible if she and the children are to survive until help arrives.
Berkshire County sees a Canadian theatrical release as part of the Canadian Indie Film Series at Landmark Theatres starting June 3rd. No word yet on U.S. distribution. [FANGORIA]
