In anticipation of this weekend’s premiere at The Stanley Film Festival, get your first look at the bloody, fresh supernatural slasher Some Kind of Hate.
“Its really chilling to see this blood soaked girl with this razor blade shrieking at people about why shes killing them,” director Adam Egypt Mortimer tells The Hollywood Reporter, who premiered the teaser. He’s right. His film’s slasher, the resurrected Moira Karp is an an anguished beast who takes folks out in an exciting, unsettling and relevant new way. In Some Kind of Hate, a troubled teen subjected to severe bullying accidentally conjures Moira Karp. Once a teenage girl pushed to suicide, Moira is now an unstoppable force on a mission of gruesome retribution. But when she goes too far, he must prevent her from spiraling out of control.
Some Kind of Hate world premieres Saturday, May 2nd at the Stanley Film Festival in The Historic Park Theatre.
