20th Century Fox has revealed the first official look at Victor Frankenstein, the Paul McGuian-directed, Max Landis-scripted new take on Mary Shelleys classic tale, which puts much of the focus on the mad doctors servant, Igor. The studio has thusly released a layered photo of both leads, all done up on set. Its ostensibly a behind-the-scenes photo, with everyone in it seemingly trying to take your eye away from the rotting corpse.
Starring Radcliffe, McAvoy, Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey, the upcoming The Crow), Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox, Victor Frankenstein sees Dr. Victor Frankenstein (McAvoy) and his trusted assistant Igor (Radcliffe) go too far in their noble attempts to aid humanity. Victors obsession turns to madness. He then unleashes his final creation –a monstrous figure that holds unimaginable terror for anyone its path.
Victor Frankenstein is in theaters October 2nd. The first footage from the film debuted yesterday at theater convention CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Word seemed to indicate strong, steampunk-esque design (just look at their outfits above) for the brief preview. Head to Empire for a second photo of the Doctor in action.
