Following the largely positive reception to Greg McLeans ultraviolent, satirical sequel, Australian streaming service Stan is looking to continue the exploits of Mick Taylor in a Wolf Creek miniseries.
9 News reports Stan is developing a six-part series with McLean, in which the great John Jarratt will return as Outback madman Mick. The intended series will take place after Wolf Creek 2.
Screentime and McLeans Emu Creek Pictures are producing, while writers Felicity Packard, Peter Gawler and producer Greg Haddrick (of the series Underbelly) are also on board. McLean, writer-director of both Wolf Creek and Wolf Creek 2 says, Wolf Creek and the character of Mick Taylor have become household names, and the opportunity to tell a rich and complex story in his world in a high-quality drama series is a thrilling creative opportunity.
No word yet on if and when the series will hit the U.S.
