March to the beat of your own violent impulse-inspired dubstep, as the saying goes.
Out this weekend is Enter the Dangerous Mind (formerly, Snap), a particularly loud, dark study of a reclusive, socially stunted musician and his brutal impulse. Said aggression is physicalized by a motor mouthed Thomas Dekker (Laid to Rest, The Sarah Connor Chronicles), a shoulder devil spurred on by mental instability. Distributor Variance has provided Shock with an exclusive clip from the film, in which you can see exactly what having a harsh critic like Dekker in your head might look or sound like.
In Enter the Dangerous Mind, Jim (Jake Hoffman) is a socially awkward EDM musician with a traumatic past, a tenuous grip on reality, and voices in his head. When he meets Wendy (Nikki Reed), he thinks he might finally have a shot at happiness. But as long-buried memories begin to stir and his crush turns into obsession, Jim finds himself looking into a violent abyss and he wont be going alone.
Directed by Youssef Delara and Victor Teran, Enter the Dangerous Mind is in theaters and on iTunes February 6th.
