Image to Release Kevin Durand Monster Movie, Dark Was The Night

Following its ScreamFest premiere and New York City Scary Movies bow, the Kevin Durand-starring monster movie Dark Was The Night is set for the limited theatrical release from Image in 2015.

Directed by Jack Heller, from a script by Tyler Hisel, Dark Was The Night “begins when a long slumbering evil is awoken in the trees outside the remote town of Maiden Woods. Isolated and threatened, it sets its sights on the townspeople, as Sheriff Paul Shields (Kevin Durand) attempts to overcome the demons of his past, so that he may protect thoe lives of the people he loves.” Dark Was The Night found good response in its brief festival run, cited as a solid creature feature in a Stephen King vein.

Lukas Haas and Nick Damici co-star. Expect Dark Was The Night later this year.
