Announced in 2012, lensed in early 2013, and once set for release last December, it feels as if the James Wan-produced Demonic (once titled House of Horror) has been ever-present. Will we ever see it, however?
Starring Maria Bello (A History of Violence), Frank Grillo (The Grey) and Cody Horn (Magic Mike), Demonic is currently awaiting U.S. release from Dimension Films, putting it in the same boat as the Eli Roth-produced Clown and Bustillo & Maurys second feature, Livide. A trailer, effectively being the first good look at Demonic, has arrived online labeled as international, though its unclear for what territory.
The film, directed by Will Canon and penned by Max La Bella from a story by James Wan, follows Bello and Grillos characters investigating the aftermath a séance gone horribly wrong. The trailer treads a lot of familiar groundeerie figures, ghostly visions, creepy trinketsbut also flashes a glimpse of what looks like floating viscera. Thats fun!
As mentioned above, Demonic was previously scheduled for a December 2014 release. No word on why thats shifted, or when the film might surface. [JoBlo]
