Co-penned by Peter Straub and released in ’84, the novel saw the arrival of a sequel called “Black House” in 2001 also penned by King and Straub.
Now, it appears the two are going to be collaborating on a third installment. Per Lilja’s Library:
King gave us some very interesting news yesterday at the reading in Washington, D.C. about the third book about Jack Sawyer. King confirmed that it was supposed to be a trilogy and that he had already worked out the framework for the third book in his head. He also said he hoped to write it with Peter Straub during next year.
After reading this I emailed Peter who confirmed that the plan is to write the book next year. So, very good news for all fans of The Talisman and Black House!Copied from Lilja’s Library: http://liljas-library.com
“Tha Talisman” follows young Jack Sawyer who, with a special talisman, can leap between our world and a parallel universe rife with creatures and “Twinners” – parallel individuals from the normal world who have slight variations. “Black House” follows a grown-up Jack as he represses the memories of his past and takes on a serial killer named “The Fisherman.”
