You’re Next director Adam Wingard and screenwriter Simon Barrett reteam for this week’s The Guest, an intense, bloody horror thriller that also manages to be rather tongue-in-cheek, both playing in and breaking down its many genres. Headlining the film is Dan Stevens (who also stars in this week’s A Walk Among the Tombstones) in the role of “David,” a seemingly friendly, charistmatic stranger who shows up on the doorsteps of the Peterson family, claiming to have served with their recently-deceased son.
We recently caught up with Stevens to discuss the making of The Guest and what went on behind the scenes to achieve the film’s unique style. Check out the video interview in the player below and catch the film, opening in theaters today, September 17.
