Blumhouse Titles Including The Town That Dreaded Sundown and Mockingbird Get a Release Plan

Beginning this October, Blumhouse will roll out films that fans have been waiting for including Mockingbird, Mercy, Not Safe for Work, Stretch, and The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

“Our company is built on the idea of betting on yourself.” says Jason Blum. “As a result of our micro-budgets, we encourage our filmmakers to take risks and make the movies they have always dreamed of making. The purpose of BH Tilt is to be part of the continuing evolution of distribution, whether it be through changing marketing strategies, changing revenue sources or changing windows. We are excited to launch BH Tilt and can’t wait to share these films with genre fans through every means available.”

I truly feel this is a good thing. This new label will bring opportunity for film makers to push the envelope but still know that there is a platform out there for them. And with scheduled releases for Ouija, on October 24, Amityville on January 2nd, 2015, and The Boy Next Door on January 23rd, 2015, it means twice as much horror is on its way.
