Relativity Picks Up The Woman in Black: Angel of Death at TIFFEven though the Toronto International Film Festival has just officially kicked off a few hours ago, Deadline brings word that Hammer and eOne’s The Woman in Black: Angel of Death has already been acquired by Relativity Media (who brought us Oculus earlier this year) for US distribution. No word on a target release date for the sequel, but check back for further updates on the film. The first “Woman in Black” film, which bowed in 2012, was distributed by CBS Films and grossed over $127 million at the global box office.

Directed by Tom Harper and written by Jon Croker, the film stars Jeremy Irvine, Phoebe Fox and Helen McCrory. It’s officially described as follows:

Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant.  Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons.  Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.
