Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reboot Will Follow New Slayer, Showrunner Confirms

10 Reasons Why Buffy The Vampire Slayer Is Still Relevant Today

Buffy the Vampire SlayerTonight (Friday, September 5th at 7:00 P.M.) Gallery 1988 (West) is having an exhibit dedicated to filmmaker Joss Whedon. In honor of the upcoming gallery, I’ve decided to write about one of my favorite shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and why it’s still relevant, even in today’s technologically advanced culture. Sure, much of the fashion on Buffy The Vampire Slayer screams ‘90s, but read on, and you’ll find that much of today’s pop culture can be traced back to a chosen one and her gang of Scoobies.

Side note: With the gallery debut, artist Alex Pardee has already taken to Instagram to show off some of his brilliant illustrations for the show, with his main inspiration being The Cabin In The Woods. Joss Whedon produced the popular film, and Drew Goddard directed it, a man who used to write and direct for none other than Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So, if you’re already a fan of the movie, you should definitely give Whedon’s old show a try, especially Season 4’s plot line mirroring some of the twists and turns of Goddard’s exciting cult classic.
