Image Entertainment has secured The Houses October Built for distribution, reports Variety. Steven Schneider produced the faux doc; you might recognize his name from the Paranormal Activity and Insidious films. Bobby Roe directs.
The Houses October Built uses the Halloween Haunted House phenomenon that draws over 30 million visitors every October as its backdrop. Lurking beneath the surface of spooky fun, the film sheds light on the dark world of haunting.
Appropriately enough, the film is going to get a release this October in ten markets, including Los Angeles and New York.
