Anthony DiBlasi’s Missionary to Hit Theaters This Halloween

Missionary - Mitch RyanThe second theatrical release to come out of Shock Till You Drop’s partnership with The Orchard, Missionary, is getting a theatrical release courtesy of Freestyle Releasing. Today, it was announced the film will hit on October 31st.

This was the first title I brought to The Orchard’s attention and I’m thrilled to see it’s getting the theatrical run it deserves.

The film hails from director Anthony DiBlasi who previously gave us the Clive Barker film Dread. His latest stars Dawn Olivieri (House of Lies), Mitch Ryan (One Tree Hill) and Kip Pardue (Mad Men).

Olivieri plays married Katherine Kingsmen. It’s worth mentioning that she is married because she engages in a fling with Kevin Brock (Ryan), a Mormon missionary with a troubled past.

But, Katherine opts to save her marriage and, inevitably, Brock’s obsessions and insanity take over. He will stop at nothing to prove to Katherine that they are destined to be together by God’s will.

Missionary‘s theatrical release will be followed by a VOD run from The Orchard.

DiBlasi also helmed Cassadaga and is completing work on the horror film Paymon (aka Last Shift). We’ll keep you posted on release details for the latter as they come in.

In the meantime, stay tuned for coverage of Missionary as we get closer to release.
