I’m not even a fan of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, but I’m very excited about the prospect of seeing the restored “Producer’s Cut.” To date, it has only existed in bootleg form, but thanks to Anchor Bay and Scream Factory, we’re getting a spiffy new version of the film in the Halloween: Complete Collection Blu-ray set.
Keeping fans in the loop on the development of this progress, the two have passed along “before and after” screen grabs from Halloween 6. Regardless of what your thoughts are about the film, you have to admit, this is pretty cool.
A press release says the following: “While the finishing touches are being made as of this writing, we are still adding new bonus features and supplemental materials to the release. Also, as a small taste of what to expect, please see the comparison photos below from an previously unauthorized VHS release of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and a screengrab from the all-new high-definition master from the Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Producers Cut Blu-ray available for the first time on September 23rd!”
