This efforts marks Woodruff’s directorial debut (he’s done a few shorts in the past, I’ve only seen one and it was pretty damn good) and, today, we’ve received the poster and a clip. Here, Woodruff is going full-on fantasy-horror and the film is heavy on the prosthetics, as demonstrated in this promo.
The first installment of a four-film franchise, this film introduces the world of Fire City, where demons live secretly among humans, feeding off of human misery but forbidden from causing it in a fragile equilibrium known as The Balance. This balance is destroyed when one of the demons develops compassion for humanity. Faced with extinction, the ultimate choice must be made between the life of an innocent human girl and the salvation of all Demonkind.
The Fire City team is aiming to hit the festival circuit this fall with the film. We’ll keep you posted on any distribution news.
