Humanity has got to be ready, because this weekend marks the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes! The new film, from Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves, hits theaters this Friday and it’s already proving quite the hit with critics.
It’s ten years after the deadly outbreak from the end of Rise of the Planet of the Apes has wiped out most human life on Earth. A small band of survivors are fighting to keep themselves alive in the ruins of San Francisco, but everything changes when they come face to face with Caesar and his people. Now man and ape must learn to either live together peaceably or risk igniting a conflict that could destroy everything both sides have fought so hard to build.
STYD traveled to San Francisco’s Crissy Field to chat with the cast and crew of the new blockbuster. In the player below, you can check out interviews with Reeves and stars Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell and Jason Clarke!
