Netflix Horrors: The Latest Titles Added to Instant 3/24

We Are What We Are posterYou asked for it, so I'll keep this going no matter how small the update may be. A few more genre titles have been added to Netflix Instant. Both films, which hit the service over the last week, come highly recommended.

Contracted, directed by Eric England, is the first film. You can read Shock's review of the film via this linkContracted concerns Samantha, a young woman who has an unprotected one night stand with a random stranger.  After a few days, she begins to feel "off" and she fears she has contracted an STD.  But it is, in fact, something much worse.

The second title now on Netflix Instant is the American remake of We Are What We Are.

In this film, a seemingly wholesome and benevolent family, the Parkers, have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank rules his family with a rigorous ferver, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost.  As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris and Rose are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family.  As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, the local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.
