The Wrap says Burn Notice‘s Jeffrey Donovan and Lost’s Matthew Fox will star in the movie for director Miguel Angel Vivas. Jaume Collet-Serra has been on board Welcome to Harmony since we first told you about this title back in 2011 and he remains a producer.
When we caught up to Vivas while he was promoting Kidnapped, he told us this about Welcome to Harmony: “I can tell you it’s going to be very different from Kidnapped. It is a horror film, an apocalyptic film based on a novel. It’s an exploration of human behavior and it’s about two survivors. I’m going to investigate how people react in a situation like that and it’s going to be very scary. It’s has a bit of 28 Days Later in it.”
His latest is set against the backdrop of Bangor, Maine and the story focuses on a father and daughter trying to survive in a world obliterated by chemical weapons after a massive war. In addition to having to contend with a neighbor, the father and daughter have to protect themselves against a zombie-like menace.
Production begins in February.
