Frank Grillo is returning to the thriller genre with The Purge 2, says Deadline. The actor appeared in Joe Carnahan's The Grey, starring Liam Neeson. He also stars in an upcoming James Wan-produced supernatural film that has yet to receive a title. Next year, you'll find Grillo playing Crossbones in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
Overall? The dude is busy.
He's the first bit of casting news for The Purge 2 which is moving fast after The Purge made big bucks earlier this year. The entire team behind-the-camera is back: James DeMonaco will write and direct. Blumhouse Productions and Platinum Dunes will produce.
