The Faces of Death Film is Still Alive and Kickin’

Faces of Death is literally the film that will not die.  Announced back in 2007, and based on the original late-’70s title, the “new” Faces of Death feature film was a writing and directing vehicle for J.T. Petty who, at the time, had The Burrowers hitting DVD.

Over the years, we’ve heard sporadic updates about its development.  Some of those updates had to do with the rights and where the project was originally housed, the now shuttered Rogue Pictures.

Things then went quiet until we caught up to J.T. Petty today – promoting his new film Hellbenders 3D – who offered a status report.

Surprisingly, he’s still attached to the film!

“I turned in a new draft of the script a month ago,” he told us.  “I’d love to make it, it would be the most horrific of the movies I’ve made so far.”

It doesn’t sound like Faces of Death will be Petty’s next project, but know that it’s still on his schedule…for some time.
