Maybe this is how R.I.P.D. should have been executed all along: As an animated project. The material certainly lends itself to it. But hey, I’m pre-judging the feature film and I shouldn’t do that. I haven’t seen it yet. Or should I pre-judge? After all, the film hasn’t been screened for the press (save for those doing interviews) – sometimes that doesn’t bode well.
The Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges-starring film opens Friday and, in anticipation of the release, Adult Swim has aired an exclusive animated short that presents a bit of backstory on Roy (Bridges’ character).
