Written by Del Toro, Matthew Robbins and Lucinda Coxon, Crimson Peak is said to be a classic ghost story that also makes use of modern conventions.
Shooting isn’t expected to begin until February 2014.
Guillermo del Toro is currently busy finishing up Pacific Rim for Legendary.
In a previous interview with AICN, Del Toro described his ghost tale like this: “It’s set at the turn of the century and it is a Gothic romance with ghosts. When I use the GR term I use it not in the Barbara Cartland model but rather in a Bronte fashion. Dark and stormy and wind-swept.”
