Yes, you read that headline right: Zombie polar bears. Variety reports Nikolai Pigarev is in line to direct the action-horror flick Cold Patrol. Written by Christopher Webster, the film will follow “an elite military dog sled team uncovering a plot to release a dangerous new organism – while fending off zombie polar bears.”
Pigarev directed the first Russian zombie film Meteletsa: Winter of the Dead. You can watch the trailer for that one below. Both Cold Patrol and Meteletsa are getting a push at the American Film Market.
