The trailer’s creator favors Christina Ricci as heroine/slasher killer Cassie Hack and they culled a number of clips from Ricci’s filmography and pieced them together (along with some comic book images) to create the preview.
You’ll also see a familiar face from The Dark Knight Rises as Vlad. Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley posted the trailer to his Facebook page (he approves).
Hack/Slash initially had The Apparition‘s Todd Lincoln attached as writer and director. Lincoln developed the property for a number of years before he moved on to other projects. Currently, the rights to the property rest at Relativity. Check out the preview inside.
