The Evil Dead is Invading Knott’s Scary Farm

Southern California’s Knott’s Scary Farm (the annual Halloween event where Knott’s Berry Farm is transformed into a haven for scary mazes) is gearing up for a new year and The Timber Mountain Log Ride is going to get an overhaul.  Usually, the attraction is transformed into Sleep Hallow Mountain.  Not this year, however.  The Facebook page for Knott’s hinted at what’s in store for Timber Mountain this October.

The Rumors are true….  Hail to the King, Baby.  Evil Dead comes to Scary Farm!  The legendary film is being remade and what better way to celebrate than to experience the terror firsthand…  The Timber Mountain Log Ride will become The Evil Dead for Scary Farm 2012.  Come to Papa.

This makes a ton of sense as Sam Raimi’s original Evil Dead is indeed being made.  Also, Raimi and Knott’s share a history together.  When Raimi’s production outfit – Ghost House – released The Grudge 2, Knott’s created a maze based on the title.

More on this as it comes in!
