This morning, a double dose of comic book-themed Fringe goodness. What? You thought because Comic-Con was over, the news slows down? Not a chance. First up, The Rock addressed rumors that he may play Lobo in a screen adaptation of the DC comic book.
“Rumors of me possibly playing LOBO are true. Joel Silver and Brad Peyton working on it now. That could be fun,” the actor said via his Twitter account.
Imagine that? The Rock as Lobo. I want in. If the main man takes on the “Main Man,” he’d be reuniting with Peyton, who directed him in Journey 2: Mysterious Island.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Thomas Jane revealed a short film to Comic-Con audiences that found the actor revisiting Frank Castle…The Punisher! Check it out, it’s call “Dirty Laundry.”
Jane says, “I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
