Next month’s Cannes Film Festival has added a new title to its midnight programming line-up: the remake of William Lustig’s Maniac starring Elija Wood and Nora Arnezeder.
Directed by Franck Khalfound (P2) and written and produced by High Tension‘s Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur, the film finds Wood playing a mannequin store owner who stalks women via the Internet and, later, kills them.
KNB EFX is providing the gore gags. Maniac will likely find a distributor post-Cannes, we’ll keep you posted.
