The project, from writer/directors Matt and Ross Duffer, landed on the 2011 “Black List” of unproduced screenplays and was, at the time, officially described as being:
“An elevated horror-thriller about a family hiding in a bomb shelter after escaping a mysterious outbreak.”
Riseborough, best known for films like Happy-Go-Lucky and Never Let Me Go, will play Skarsgard’s character’s husband. She’ll also soon appear on the big screen opposite Tom Cruise in Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion.
