A new actor is hopping aboard Riddick, the third film in the Vin Diesel-led sci-fi series.
Nolan Funk will co-star in the flick, directed by David Twohy. His role has not yet been revealed, but he is the latest in a string of actors to join or circle the production. Kate Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Jordi Molla are also taking on roles.
Funk’s previous credits include X2: X-Men United, Deadgirl and the upcoming House at the End of the Street.
The synopsis going around for Riddick goes like this: Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
The Riddick series began with Pitch Black and continued into The Chronicles of Riddick.
