The “12 Days of Sideshow” is focusing on figures and statues – in varying degrees of development – from sundry comic books, movies and other geek properties. Today, Sideshow revealed a pair of projects that tie into two creature features that Guillermo del Toro was involved with.
Head inside for a peek at concept art and in-progress sculpts.
Sideshow is at work on a statue based on Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark and Splice, both of which had Del Toro on board as producer (the former he co-penned). The company teamed up with Del Toro and Splice‘s Vincenzo Natali and producer Don Murphy to make this happen.
Regardless of what you think of the films, you have to admit, these are pretty great so far. No word yet on a release, although I suspect we’ll be seeing more of these around the San Diego Comic-Con this summer. (Get a better look at these via this link which will provide you a PDF sales sheet with bit of background on both sculptures.)
If these don’t get you excited, perhaps you’d like to own Scarlett Johansson then?
