Produced by Oldboy‘s Park Chan-wook
According to Korean Film, Bong Joon-ho is in pre-production on Snow Piercer.
The director of the creature feature The Host will have Park Chan-wook (Oldboy) watching his back as a producer. The film is budgeted at $35 million (U.S.).
Set against the backdrop of a new ice age, and based on the French graphic novel “Le Transperceneige,” the story follows a group of survivors who are on board a train. Destination: unknown.
Song Kang-ho (Memories of Murder) is expected to star. Shooting will begin in March.
Park Chan-wook is currently directing Stoker.
