Distributor acquires two genre titles
Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada announced that Raven Banner Entertainment has partnered with them to distribute three new films in the Canadian home entertainment market.
Films slated for release include, action film Bounty Hunters starring former seven-time WWE Women’s Champ, Trish Stratus, post apocalyptic tale The Collapsed, and the psycho-thriller Neverlost.
Justin McConnell’s The Collapsed wrapped up a limited run in Canadian theaters this past summer. In the wake of the end of the world, a family of four desperately try to survive against insurmountable odds. The constant threat of a violent death forces them to stay as far away from civilization as possible. But when they take to the forest, they soon discover that the danger posed by other survivors may be the least of their worries.
Neverlost made its World Premiere to a sell out crowd at the 2010 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, where it also picked up an audience award. After losing his Kate, his high school sweetheart, in a horrific house fire Josh Higgins’ life tumbles into a depressing mix of insomnia and poor choices. After taking seemingly harmless sleeping pill, Josh is thrust from his current banal existence to one that he had lost years earlier. As the walls of his own psychosis slowly start to close in around him, Josh must race to save himself, Kate and the parallel life that he vows can never again become…lost.
We’ll keep you posted on release dates and whether these titles reach U.S. soil or not…
