Human Centipede 2 Has a U.S. Release Date

IFC eyes an October debut



Ready for some more Human Centipede action? Shock Till You Drop has learned Tom Six’s sequel, Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence, is getting an October 7 release.

It joins a busy month already populated with The Thing, The Woman, Paranormal Activity 3 and The Skin I Live In. Given the cult status Six’s first film has accrued, I wonder how wide the sequel will go theatrically, furthermore, if any cuts to the film will be made.

The second Centipede was rejected by the British Film Board in June, citing a variety of reasons. For example: “The principal focus of The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is the sexual arousal of the central character at both the idea and the spectacle of the total degradation, humiliation, mutilation, torture, and murder of his naked victims. Examples of this include a scene early in the film in which he masturbates whilst he watches a DVD of the original Human Centipede film, with sandpaper wrapped around his penis…” You can read more here.
