From the director of Wolf Creek, Rogue
More and more directors are turning to the comic book medium these days to express their tales. There, their imagination can run free without budget limitations. It’s an added bonus, too, if their comic property gets picked up by a studio.
Greg McLean, the director of Wolf Creek and Rogue, has shifted into the world of comics for “Dark Axis,” a tale he worked on with Chris Wheeler and Jason M. Burns. Xavier Irvine and Luis Guerrer illustrated the project and we’ve got a synopsis and some cover art to share with you. McLean tells Shock it’s “Saving Private Ryan mashed with Evil Dead 2.”
On the cinematic-end of things, McLean is gearing up for Wolf Creek 2, so stayed tuned for more on that film!
“Dark Axis” synopsis: Alternate World War II history as you’ve never seen it before! A battle-hardened veteran, Sgt. Bryce, is given a cushy mission to scout a mountain valley.
