Comic-Con 2011: Want to See the Locke & Key Pilot?

IDW is bringing it to San Diego

IDW Publishing has asked for 20th Century Fox’s permission to show the Locke & Key pilot to Comic-Con audiences and Fox has given them the green light.

A screening of the pilot, which was not picked up to air this fall, will be shown in Room 8 on July 22 at 10:30am.

Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodriguez, writer-producer Josh Friedman and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will step on stage afterward for a Q&A.

The pilot, directed by Mark Romanek, stars Miranda Otto, Sarah Bolger and Nick Stahl. In the proposed series a trio of children become the caretakers of Keyhouse, a mansion in New England that is full of secrets and magic. There, the kids discover doors that take them to different places, give them powers and even alter gender and skin color. Behind one door is a dangerously violent creature.

Perhaps after this screening, depending on the crowd response, the show will find a home.
