In the vein of Daughters of Darkness
Connecticut is playing host to sundry creatures these days. Remains is presently shooting there, unleashing zombies on Mystic. Meanwhile, Kiss of the Damned, a vampire film, has just wrapped principle photography in New Fairfield.
Director Xan Cassavetes – daughter of John Cassavetes – is now in post-production on the film which stars Josephine de la Baume (pictured), Roxane Mesquida, Milo Ventimiglia, Michael Rappaport, Riley Keough and Anna Mouglalis.
Baume and Mesquida play French vampire sisters shacking up at a safe house in their Connecticut summer estate. Ventimgilia’s character, a screenwriter, falls for Baume, however, when Mesquida’s bloodsucker shows up, she’s none too happy about the love affair her sister is enjoying.
Cassavetes says the film will invoke the feel of ’70s vampire fare like Daughters of Darkness. Here’s a pic of Ventimiglia on set.
