Director circling long-gestating film
The Last Voyage of the Demeter has seen directors come and go, but the latest helmer might be the right fit.
THR reports tonight that David Slade (30 Days of Night) is circling the project. Robert Schwentke, Marcus Nispel, Patrick Tatopoulos and Stefan Ruzowitzky all previously flirted with telling this film’s story which is set aboard the ship which brings Dracula to England.
Bragi Schut scripted, Phoenix Pictures will produce and Ben Kingsley and Noomi Rapace may star.

Slade also directed the Twilight installment, Eclipse.
