No Zombies for Chris Smith, He’s on a Detour

A noir-ish new thriller

Chris Smith, the director Black Death and Severance, has received funding for a new thriller entitled Detour, confirming that he is not in fact circling Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for Lionsgate.

He tells Screen Daily the story is “about how one decision can carve two entirely separate destinies.” He also describes it as a modern-day film noir which takes place during a road trip between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. So, it looks like he’ll be trying to screw with our heads again as he had done in Triangle.

Smith is on the second draft of his script and Screen Daily says the project is being shopped at the European Film Market for more funds.
