Pet Sematary Moving Closer to Re-Opening?

An update on the Stephen King adaptation

Stephen King movie news is hot this week. Following updates on The Dark Tower and another adaptation of The Stand, the L.A. Times throws the following into the mix.

Writer Matt Greenberg is ready to hand in his script for another take on Pet Sematary to Paramount. Studio reps will not comment on this, however, the Times adds that Paramount is seeking a big director to take on this haunting tale once brought to the screen in ’89.

Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is producing; Greenberg’s previous credits include 1408.

In a previous news item, Di Bonaventura said Greenberg was going to try a new take on the tale and not bring audiences something they’ve already seen before.
