Ridley Scott’s Prometheus Enters Summer 2012

Fox pushes release three months

20th Century Fox has opted to give Prometheus a June 8, 2012 debut, as opposed to the originally-announced March release date where it was up against John Carter of Mars, another sci-fi epic.

This places Ridley Scott’s pseudo-Alien prequel at the forefront of the summer movie season.

Right now, it doesn’t face any competition that weekend, however, the Star Trek sequel and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter are slated to open that month.
