Voicing the stop-motion film
Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara have been cast to do vocal work on Frankenweenie.
The project is a stop-motion feature-length adaptation of the live-action short film Burton directed in 1984. Short and O’Hara, who have appeared in Mars Attacks! and Beetlejuice, respectively, will voice five characters each. Ryder (Edward Scissorhands) will voice the character Elsa, while Landau (Ed Wood) will play Mr. Rzykruski, says Deadline. Learn who Short and O’Hara are playing here.
John August (Big Fish) penned the script and the film is on track for a March 9, 2012 release.
