Shopping the project in Toronto
Universal is still nearly two months out from the release of Skyline and sales outfit IM Global is already shopping around a sequel.
The company was originally at the front lines and handling sales for Greg Strause and Colin Strause’s first monster mash/alien invasion pic which stars Eric Balfour, Scottie Thompson, Donald Faison, David Zayas and Crystal Reed.
Will the original Skyline creative team return for the sequel? Possibly. The Strause brothers financed the film independently and directed based on a script by Joshua Cordes and Liam O’Donnell, two vets from the Strause’s visual effects house Hydraulx.
IM will be seeking interest in Skyline 2 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
