Darin Scott’s chiller with Jeffrey Combs
Director Darin Scott has informed us that his film, Dark House starring Jeffrey Combs, has won the Fangoria Frightfest competition.
Voters were asked to weigh in on which, of the eight films Fangoria is releasing with Lightning Entertainment, they’d like to see on the big screen. Scott’s tale of a haunted attraction that turns into a real bloodbath rose to the top, so some of you will be able to catch it in one of three cities.
From July 30 to August 5, the film will play at the Cinema Village in New York City, Landmark Theatres’ The Magnolia in Dallas, Texas and Landmark Theatres’ Opera Plaza Cinema in San Francisco, California. Not the widest release you’d expect after all of that voting. Nevertheless, Dark House and the full Frightfest collection will hit DVD exclusively at Blockbuster, and on Blockbuster on demand, August 6.
Those not Blockbuster subscribers get to see it September 28.
