Did you feel yesterday’s trailer debut for 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams didn’t deliver? Was it a tad dry and a bit too straight-laced? Well, writer-director Tim Sullivan dropped by Shock to deliver you, dear readers, the exclusive bloody goods you wanted. Here’s a message he attached to a NOT SAFE FOR WORK trailer.
Hey all you maniacs out there,
Yesterday, First Look Studios premiered their GREEN BAND and RED BAND trailers for 2001 MNAIACS: FIELD OF SCREAMS. Missed them? Check ’em out here and here.
What First Look didn’t show you is this super exclusive BEYOND RED BAND EXTENDED PREVIEW that I cut with my editors Adam Robitel and Dan Flesher for the Big Bear Film Festival back in October. Yup, as they say, this is the “trailer the studio didn’t want you to see.” It’s got all the GORE, all the NUDITY, all the POLITICALLY INCORRECT HUMOR that this film is getting both applauded and crucified for! Even though it’s full of spoilers – trust me – this flick is such a fully loaded goregasm, we still are only shooting half a load with this “extended” preview.
By the way, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams arrives on DVD and Blu-ray July 20. And so does its killer soundtrack album, a perfect companion.
So buckle up and get ready â it’s MANIACS time!
