Pull off a zombie gag on a limited budget
If you’ve seen Survival of the Dead, now available on VOD, you might be aghast at the copious amounts of CG-fueled zombie mayhem (more prevalent than Diary or Land). It’s a shame because – as I just discussed with a friend over the weekend – Romero can turn to, I’m sure, a hungry practical FX artist out there who would work on a budget and love to cut his teeth on a Romero picture. Instead, it’s CG city, baby. And the results are messy.
Romero recently posed a challenge to the Indy Mogul team. George challenged host Erik Beck to build a zombie bite effect for less than $50, but Erik did the effect for only $20. Check it out…
